Kaitlyn Celebrates 5 Years After Gastric Bypass

We were delighted to see our patient Kaitlyn’s social media post honoring her 5-year “surgiversary” since Dr. Adeyeri performed her gastric bypass in 2021.

Since that time, she has maintained her weight loss, even after giving birth to her first child!

We’re sharing her celebratory message below (but omitting her last name for privacy:)

“Five years ago today, I took one of the biggest leaps of my life and got gastric bypass surgery. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity I got to change myself and my life. I knew 5 years ago if I didn’t make the commitment to a better life for myself, I would never be able to have the kids I had always dreamed of.

Now flash forward 5 years, I get to do things with my DAUGHTER that I never would’ve been able to before. What a blessing to be able to carry my own baby, and now be able to play nonstop and keep up with her daily.

Thank you to Ayotunde Adeyeri for changing my life forever, I am still at my goal weight and have been stable at 140 for over a year and a half now after having my babygirl, there is no better feeling!”
