Jamil Celebrates 162-pound weight loss after gastric bypass

Wishing a happy 2-year Surgiversary to our bariatric warrior Jamil, a state transit worker who had gastric bypass in 2019.

This week, he celebrated a 162-pound weight loss.

On his surgery date two years ago, he weighed 387 pounds; after two short years, he now weighs 225 pounds.

Jamil shares a bariatric surgiversary Facebook post

March 15, 2021

“Two years ago, I had surgery to help give me a better quality of life to live longer, so I could watch my children grow up.

It has been a struggle, but well worth it.

I went from 387 pounds down to 225.

With the grace and mercy from God and Dr. Ayotunde Adeyeri, I’m so thankful for my second chance at a healthy life.”

Thinking that you have ‘too much weight to lose?’

As Jamil and many of our other patients have shown, you are never ‘too far gone’ when it comes to the possibility of significant weight loss.

Let’s say, for example, you weigh 300 pounds.

If you could lose 162 pounds in two years, as Jamil has shown above, how much could you weigh in 2023?

Ponder that number for a moment, and then we invite you to call our team to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ayotunde Adeyeri, board-certified and fellowship-trained bariatric, laparoscopic and general surgeon, on staff at Hackensack Meridian Health.

We have offices conveniently located in Holmdel (Monmouth County) and Old Bridge (Middlesex County).

Call (732) 217-3897 and we’ll confirm your consultation with Dr. Adeyeri within the next week!

The year 2023 will be here before you know it. Let’s get to work!
