Husband and Wife Battle Obesity as a Team

Couples who both have weight loss surgery are surprisingly common.

Amy Garcia and her husband Richenell have a great life–successful careers, wonderful children and 17 years of marriage.

Amy had the gastric sleeve (VSG) three years ago, lost 70 pounds, and has maintained her weight loss successfully.

Keep in mind, was not extremely overweight by most bariatric standards–

Her starting weight was 236 pounds and today she maintains a weight of 168 pounds and looks marvelous.

Her husband also faces a battle against extra weight and has also decided to move forward with weight loss surgery in a few weeks.

No doubt he has been inspired by his wife’s success.
