Nazira Avoids Weight Regain Three Years After Gastric Bypass

When you decide to have gastric bypass or gastric sleeve weight loss surgery, you will establish a short and long-term term relationship with our bariatric surgeon, Dr. Adeyeri, and his team.

Therefore, we work very hard to make sure you like us 😉

For example, Nazira had gastric bypass in June 2016 after a lifelong battle with her weight.

Not only did Nazira lose the extra weight, she has kept it off successfully for three years.

Even after you reach goal weight, we ask that you check in once a year to address any questions or challenges you may be having.

Some patients benefit from setting up a few sessions with our staff bariatric dietitian and some choose to join our Sterling Back on Track Program if weight regain has been an issue.

Regardless, always know that your dedicated Sterling Surgicare team is here for you–before, during and long after you have achieved weight loss success.

Learn More About Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Surgery

Gastric BypassThe Operation:

A large portion of the stomach is closed off.

This leaves a small pouch to hold food, restricting the amount that can be eaten at one time. The small intestine is cut below the duodenum and reattached to the new stomach pouch, leaving a shortened path for food to travel through.

This procedure is performed laparoscopically. Most patients are able to leave the hospital two days after surgery and are able to resume normal activities by the time they come home.
