I love sharing this wonderful bariatric surgery transformation of 22-year-old Kaylee.
She has lost 165 pounds over the past two years, is working in a job she loves and has many, many healthy years ahead of her.
Via Kaylee’s social media post:
“Time flies when you’re having fun!
This is just a reminder that if you set your mind to something, incredible things can happen.
Happy 2-year surgiversary to me!!
Life is good and I’m blessed everyday to be living healthy and free.

What is Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Surgery?
A large portion of the stomach is closed off; as a result, this leaves a small pouch to hold food, restricting the amount that can be eaten at one time.
The small intestine is cut below the duodenum and reattached to the new stomach pouch, leaving a shortened path for food to travel through.
This procedure is performed laparoscopically.
Most patients are able to leave the hospital two days after surgery and are able to resume normal activities by the time they come home.
